Kotahi Groove is an awesome five piece band on the Northern Beaches of Sydney!

In the Maori language, Kotahi means ‘as one’ and our name represents our vision to ‘groove as one’. A combination of hard work, great songs, a good vibe, a genuine vision, and a little bit of luck go a long way.

Created in 2011 by two friends who were asked to do a few songs at a charity event, the band soon evolved from a duo into a five piece line-up with Sarah Taranaki on vocals, Steve Rota on vocals and rhythm guitar, Jamie Paku on vocals and bass, Marc Bampton on the key boards and later with the addition of Michael Siczynski in 2016 on Drums. With three lead vocalists producing exceptional harmonies and stunning vocal performances, the band has a wide musical range with musicians from diverse musical backgrounds such as R&B, Reggae and Motown right through to Blues, Classical, Soul, Country and Aussie Rock music with a Kiwi influence.

Together this creates a sound, style and vibe that is unique to Kotahi Groove. Kotahi Groove is having great success on the Northern Beaches of Sydney at various venues, private functions, corporate events and charity events and is now looking at playing in venues all over the Sydney area.
